This origami advent calendar is based on the Chinese Thread Book (Zhen Xiao Bao) design. The original idea were little sewing books which had hand painted folded pockets which expanded the further you went into the book.
We’ve made some changes and worked out a structure that includes 25 expanding pockets (yes we included Christmas Day too! Cos why not?) and so the advent calendar was born!
Additionally, we wanted to make an extra special advent which could be used year in, year out for many years to come, so we have included an archival drop spine folio to hold your calendar in.
This is an online class, taught through short video tutorials that have been subtitled in English.
The class is lifetime access which means you can come back and make it as many times as you like! You might want to adapt this into different projects (we definitely approve of that sort of behaviour).
