Introduction to Accordion Books Course
- Launching 21st May 2025
- Seven Projects
- Online Video Tutorials
- Limited Edition Kit
- Worth £154
Welcome to this brand new bookbinding course, exploring the fabulous world of accordion books.
Accordion Books or Zig Zag books originate from China as an alternative to scrolls. They involve folded sheets of paper to create a book. They are no sew books so are great for beginners or if you want to explore sculptural paper engineering in your creations.
On this course I’ll show you 7 projects which explore folded books. From learning the basic structure, to bringing in cutting techniques to make 3dimensional elements. I’ve grouped together 5 projects which use the accordion structure which are available on their own. If you purchase them all together on this course you’re saving £53. Yay!
Some of these projects are also featured in my Bookbinding Membership programme as we explored this structure in April 2025 (details below).
Whats included:
- Accordion Book Simple Structure (Bookbinding Club Tutorial)
- Accordion Book with Stitched pages (Bookbinding Club Tutorial)
- Phases of the Moon Book
- Accordion Window Book
- Ori Folder Book
- Flag Book
- Pop up Plant Card
Kits
You can create all of these books by sourcing A4 Paper, Greyboard and Card and an A2 sized sheet of Watercolour Paper.
I’m doing a limited run of just 50 kits for the launch. Once they’re gone they won’t be restocked.
Here’s what’s included in the kit:
- 15 sheets of A4 Cartridge paper 120gsm
- 1 sheet of watercolour paper 10cm x 70cm
- 10 sheets of A4 Kraft Card 300gsm
- 15 sheets of Colorplan paper multiple colours 135gsm
- 1 sheet of Colorplan Card 300gsm
- 2 sheets of greyboard
- 1 sheet of heritage bookcloth
All materials will make 1 version of each book. Colours may vary.
I hope you will enjoy all of these projects. I have had so much fun designing them and I cannot wait to see your version!
Upon purchase you will receive an email from my course website Thinkific. Don’t forget the course goes live on 21st May and that the pre-order price will go up to full price after this date.
